Army Corps of Engineers Looking for Volunteers for Sam Rayburn Project

I Need A Volunteer – Army Corps of Engineers,

Sam Rayburn Project

Volunteer Gate Attendant/Park Host:
Dates: Seasonal. Winter-October 1st 2019 through February 29th 2020 and Summer-March 1st 2020 through October 1st 2020

The volunteer may stay as many “seasons” as they like as long as they are able to continue to perform the duties asked of them.

The Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Sam Rayburn is looking for personable volunteers to work as Park Hosts through the winter and Gate Attendants through the summer. These volunteers will be part of an important team that greets and assists visitors as well as keeps our parks clean and camper friendly.

The duties include but are not limited to surveillance, customer service and camper check in, as well as occasional maintenance. The work schedule requires 20 hours per week and the volunteer must supply their own self-contained trailer or RV.

Volunteers will be provided a campsite with full hook-ups including water, sewer, and electric, in one of our lakeside campgrounds.

Applicants should be personable, organized, level-headed, able to pass a background check, and willing to work the full desired season.

Preference will be given to applicants willing to stay for extended periods of time, those with previous RV experience, as well as those with strong customer service backgrounds.
