85th CALL TO CONVENTION

The venue for the Annual DAV Department of Texas Convention will be the Embassy Suites by Hilton Hotel located at 1001 E McCarty Ln. San Marcos Texas. I encourage maximum participation by chapters.  The theme will be DAV SUMMER JAM!! The joint opening session will start at 08:30 hours, Friday, June 21st, 2024. Remember, delegates and alternates must be elected by the chapter as required by Department of Texas bylaws Article I, Section 2. 

Hotel Reservations:

  • Reservations must be made by May 21st to get the contracted price of $107.00 plus tax (single). After that date, the price will be at the normal hotel rate.
  • Call 1-512-392-6450 and refer to the name of DAV Dept. of Texas Convention to get the group rate, or
  • Go online to: DAV 2024 Texas State Convention
  • Keep in mind this is a block rate with limited number of rooms and is first come, first serve, so book early.

 Delegates/Alternates:

  • Again, delegates and alternates (only MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING) must be elected by the chapter as required by Dept. of Texas bylaws Article I, Section 2.
  • Complete the Convention Delegate/Alternate List form, online or by mail and return to Dept. of Texas Headquarters no later than May 15, 2024. 
  • Complete, sign, and GIVE THE DELEGATE SLIPS TO THE DELEGATES AND ALTERNATES to use at registration, do not mail to Department.

The cost of registration is $25.00 per person and can be prepaid and due by May 15, 2024.

The registration desk will open Thursday afternoon, June 20th from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm.  Dinner ticket sales will end at noon on Saturday, June 21st.  As you did last year, you can pay for your registration and dinner tickets with your credit or debit card.

All resolutions from chapters must be submitted to Department of Texas Headquarters in triplicate and received in this office by May 15th.
