News from National

Dear Friend,

On November 21, 2019, Senator Dan Sullivan (AK) and Senator Joe Manchin (WV), introduced S. 2950, the Veterans Burn Pits Exposure Recognition Act.

S. 2950 was passed unanimously by the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee earlier this year and is available to go to the Senate floor for a vote yet this year. Thousands of veterans with life threatening diseases due to toxic exposures, cannot wait for presumptive to be established. Congress must take action now and enact the Veterans Burn Pits Exposure Recognition Act.

We are calling on all DAV members and supporters to contact their Senators and urge them to co-sponsor S. 2950, encourage Senate leadership to bring it to the floor for a vote while there is still time. Thank you for all you do for America’s veterans and their families.
